Adjusted the head stock bearing and raised the ride height on my yss rear shock.I rode 125 miles today.took some slack out of the chain.lubed it with 50 wt very happy with the work on my engine so far

Raising the rear end enhances the handling of our bikes, but when you do that, be careful on the chain adjustment.
You need more chain slack than normal.
When you adjust the chain with the bike on the center stand the swing arm is at an angle because the shock is under no load. When you take the bike off the center stand and sit on the bike, the shock loads and the angle of the swing arm changes...the swing arm becomes more horizontal.
With a raised rear end, don't check the chain slack on the center stand. Check the chain slack with the bike on the ground with the weight of the bike and a rider compressing the swing arm.
A loose chain is a happy chain.

Especially if you have an old chain. If you over tighten it, you will be sorry.

I suspect over tightening may have been the cause of Ryan's woes....just a hunch.

A loose chain is a happy chain.

I need a new chain.I'm way over due.as I fiddled with my shock I let the chain soak in 50wt.of course wheel off and kept movie g it to diffrent spots in total the entire chain soakes for a long while.it was a pain cleaning the excess off.but the horrible vibration I had was gone.
