Thanks John, that would be most excellent.

If you get a chance to update the action while you are there that would be really cool too.

Randy - RPM

Will do Randy

Post updates and pictures!  Would like be to be there

I only live 100kms from PI and was looking forward to this event but there'll be no piccies from me this year, 40c both days and no shelter. Not sure who'd perish first, me or the bike.

I'm not there but I do have someone on a bike network there that is giving a daily blog entry on Netrider.
Following is an excerpt from todays entry from "Hornet"

"The only glitch for the Americans, but a pretty serious one, was that Colin Edwards was supposed to be on the Island before 3:00pm to visit a doctor and get his medical clearance for the necessary FIM certifications, but he has failed to arrive, driving his support staff frantic; his phone was off line and the pits were buzzing with rumour, some serious, some frivolous. The frivolous is that the Australian team has kidnapped him, the more worrying one is that his flight out of LA was cancelled. Hopefully he'll hit the deck tomorrow, bright eyed and wondering what all the fuss was about.
So all is set for a great weekend; if you live in Victoria, come along and listen to the big four-strokes (and the classic Yamaha TZ-750s) howling across Lukey Heights.
Sparky84, Colin's bike was still being set up by his team when I left the track late this afternoon, have no fear, there'll be lots of pictures of it, and him, to come...."

There is going to be another RPM customer running this years Island Classic.

Duncan Coutts from NZ will be there in his FJ power Harris chassis as well. Here are a couple of build photos of Duncan's bike.

If anyone is going, please stop by and tell Duncan hello.

Also, if you get a chance look up Carry from Hypercycle. he is the owner and builder of his FJ powered, Harris chassis ridden by Collin Edwards.

Let them know you are part of the FJowners forum and you know Randy from RPM.

Pictures would be most excellent if you guys do get a chance to stop by and see those guys.

Randy - RPM

Edit: the photo files are too big, I'll try to get them loaded tomorrow.

Sorry guys been having a few phone and data probe, will upload a few photos when I get home. Duncan was having a few engine probs so wasn't doing as good as he'd like and Edwards was also a bit off the pace. In the end the Aussies just pipped the UK boys at the post with the Yanks third and NZ bringing up the rear. Hot day Saturday and Sunday, Sunday was 38c in the shade and 63c track temp

Thanks for the pics!

Love that white and red 1100!

John,

Did Duncan get his issues resolved before the end of the weekend?

Thanks for the pics, pretty cool. Were you able to track down the USA contingent at all?

I see Edwards had a solid run in race two but was near the back of the top ten in all of the other races. I saw a quote from his saying there was lots of oil...

https://twitter.com/texastornado5/status/957766952079917056

I was wondering if that was oil on the track in general or if they were having oil issue on their bike.

I have not heard back from Carry of Hyper Cycle with an update, still waiting.

Hi Randy,
Duncan's woes persisted he ran around 24th in 3 and a DNF in the 4th race. You can get a full list of all events here with all times etc. The MV International Challenge was the main event,

http://www.computime.com.au/meetings/index.aspx?Date=28/01/18&MeetID=2018/ISCL/

The oil on the track was in general dropped by various bikes the main contributor being the Guzzi below.

Th FJ's put in a good show overall, but the Vincent was the best sounding by a mile.

Off topic but check out the engineering on the Vincent sidecar.

John.

Funny thing is I know the owner of the second bike there General. The Postibusa belongs to a frind of mine who is actually a stunt rider ( David Russell) and put that bike together for a bit of a laugh. He actuall got a big metion for it in Australian Motorcycle Magazine.
