Let's keep all of our FJ brethren in Texas in our thoughts as Hurricane Harvey has hit land.

Be safe and check in when you can.

Up here in Dallas we are only going to receive scattered storms from the remnants of Harvey. As late as Thursday the weather service was predicting Harvey would get to be no more than a Cat 3 level and many people elected to not leave the coast. Harvey rapidly developed into a Cat 4 level with sustained winds of over 130 mph. I hope those people who remained are safe.

As a serviceman on Okinawa in 1972 there were two typhoons (pacific ocean hurricanes) which hit Okinawa. Truly unbelievable winds and waves. It is hard to believe the power in these storms. All the people on Okinawa live in concrete homes.

A pistol is like a parachute, if you need one and don't have one you will never need one again.

According to my local news, Houston has received more than 35 inches since it made land four days ago.

Looks like a hell of a mess...I checked Zee Maps to see if we have any forum members listed along the Texas coastal areas and it appears we have only 2 FJ'ers located well north of Houston.
