fj1200 3xw gas cap not whistling

Hi my fj12 has started to run crap ..feels as tho its getting held back and the fuel pump keeps priming at rest it won't prime up n hold pressure ..also at the same time the fuel cap has stopped it's whistling after being out for a run ..anybody help ? Cheers
