That's a good question Pat. i bought a set of bars years ago now and had a very tough time getting them to fit. I eventually went back to the original bars.

These are the same bar design that I used on my GSX-R1000 fork mod. The bars are multi axis adjustable. They are not quite as tall as the OEM bars so I would say with confidence that they would at least clear the 1989/1990 fairings.
