 :yahoo:

New fuel station opened up just recently right near my work, and they have Ethanol-Free Gas!

I'll be bringing over a couple 6-gallon cans to keep for the FJ   :good2:

Damn.... I need one of those. (prolly not gonna happen in Kalif.)

$2.38 a gallon vs $12.00 a gallon I pay now for VP race fuel.... :dash2:

Really no big deal. I drain out the VP fuel and save it for the next season. IIRC VP fuel has an 8 year shelf life.

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.

It's the new Murphy's Express station across the street from Wal-mart.

Yes, only 87 is ethanol-free. It has its own nozzle on the other side of the diesel nozzle.

Not a problem for me, as I run 85 in all my vehicles with no issues. (Even my 10.5:1 LT-1)

i found it curious that your super petrol is only 91 octane? In australia we have 95 octance and 98 octane at (virtually) every petrol station and these are non-ethanol fuels as well...out ethanol is 91octane rated....

Pat Conlon

Different calculation of octane. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating

You guys use straight (Research Octane Number) RON rating, we use AKI (Anti Knock Index) which is a combo of RON+MON (Motor Octane Number) /2

Therefore, add, I think, 4-6 and you will get the RON (used in Europe as well).
