Hello,

I bought this saddle on ebay. Can anybody tell me if this is an original saddle, or, if not, what the brand is? And I want to order a new cover. Where can I order it?

Thanks in advance.

Pat Conlon

That is a Corbin seat cover on the oem seat pan. No telling what foam was used.
The fiberglass Corbin seat pans are black in color (marked Corbin) and are very stiff and heavy.

I've been very happy with the replacement seat cover from Sargent (http://www.sargentcycle.com/Seats-Accessories/Yamaha-Ready-Fit-Seat-Covers/) Fits great; the style and material looks a lot like the Corbin cover.

This is another photo of the DIY seat cover that I used to recover my OEM seat.

Thanks for posting that. I was in back and forth emails with a rep at Sargent a few months ago and was ready to order but he never followed up after saying he'd send out images of the actual FJ pattern and closeups of the materials. So I've let it slide.

Anything you can offer on details like that would be appreciated. i.e. did you customize your choice of materials to get what I see in that photo?
Thank you.
If someone wants to see any images I refer to in posts, first check my gallery here. If no bueno, send me a PM. More than glad to share.

No customized options on material. This was done several years ago - I think the picture was from Boone '06 - they may have changed the materials or design since. The fit was perfect, and the only installation tips I can give is to use an electric staple gun. The instructions that came with the cover were pretty complete.
