With the main project complete I had a good run on Yummy down to Bermi and back for the shed day.

I'm still nervous nelly in the corners but getting better.

Yummy, once she had the carbies re-done (thanks Pete!), is developing power nicely (was that a bit of clutch slip.....nooooo).

Johno suggested I put the Delkevics back on as the dyno proved they added 8HP and about 6Nm. He also teased me about how easy the timing advance was.

Ok....kids in bed, check, SWMBO occupied and content, check. Off to the shed then!

Muffler swap, easy.

Timing advance, easy.

Wait till next morning before I can flash her up....well, pretty easy as it is now late in the evening, pitch black, millions of roos & my night sight isn't what it was, also Yummy still has the token OEM headlight.

Early next morning (not too early as the bloody roos are still hopping about) off Yummy & I go for a test thrash.

AWESOME!!!! No more flat spots, nice power all the way. The 6-7k powerband is really noticeable now. So much so that, my slightly slippy clutch now needs more attention.

I'm a bit surprised at the clutch slip as Yummy had the same clutch mod I did to Effie the 11.
New fibres, narrow discs removed etc.

I can double the spring no problem, but want to commute as much as possible, so a heavy clutch might be annoying.

Before I go crazy on the clutch diagnosis, Johno suggested my slave might need rebuilding as I haven't touched it.
Pete and Johno both noticed my clutch takes up really early compared to any other FJ's at the shed day. You really only need to pull it in a little compared to others which seem to start about half way-ish.

Any other suggestions?

Add a second spring and swap the master to 14MM, feels just like OEM without the slip.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
