For those contemplating these slip on's, be aware there are two types of hangers. Mine originally came with the symmetrical strap on the right and I had to reshape it to pretty much exactly the one on the left to get the clearance I needed, I didn't know there were was an alternative at the time. If ordering for the FJ, make sure you order the "B" strap.

I suspect bending the strap so far eventually caused mine to break.

Good info Noel, thanks. It also helps to make sure once strapped, the can cannot move or wiggle. This will cause a fatigue failure from all the moving around.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
