So has anybody made brake plates to offset the 300mm to 320mm?

I will get photos of Dale's front wheel with the 320mm rotors posted in a day or so.

I know that I really like the 320mm rotors on the gixxer wheel.

Yah Fred. That's probably the best thing about the gsxr front end. Brakes. You could do a stoppy with 1 finger. But not so touchy as the stock six pistons on my 93 Canadian yfz750r was.

FJ1289, are you going to share what you found? Maybe post the link.

I asked about the brackets in the picture posted by Fred above.  $80 + $10 shipping for the pair.

Looking to possibly use this setup on the FJ1100 land speed bike.  Spit balling with Randy about brake drag - thinking we may get less drag with a non-floating rotor and precisely shimming everything to get the alignment perfect.  Current setup is a pair of Performance Machine 13" full floating rotors with the PM 4 piston calipers.   To be honest the PM billet calipers don't seem as stiff to my eye as the Yamaha mono blocks or the Hayabusa 6 piston calipers.  At first I was concerned about going to a smaller rotor - but the realized the 13" rotors are only 330mm vice 320mm.   The Hayabusa brakes are considered up to the task for land speed work at higher speeds than we'll be going at the shorter venues like Colorado (namely the now defunct Maxton and Goliad tracks).  The only upgrades recommended are EBC HH pads and braided lines.  For discs I've been sitting on a set of Brembo snowflakes for 12+ years -- maybe time to put them to use?!

What are your thoughts on the radial caliper brackets?  Do you think there would be any more flex under hard use than the traditional style brackets and calipers?

The adapter plates will not add any noticeable flex in the direction of the braking forces. Any possible side to side flex during braking is unlikely as the caliper will be clamping on the rotor, no place to go but follow the rotor.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
