Hi all, so I'm new to this site.  I don't actually have an FJ motorcycle I have an offroad buggy with and FJ1200 3CV engine in it.  I've just recently bought it second hand and I think it's going to need a lot of work to get it back to a good working condition.  I don't know any history about it and this is my first buggy/bike project although I've worked on car projects with my father-in-law so I have a fair idea about stuff.
So the first thing I did was take the electrical system out of its tie wrapped ice-cream tub and begin cutting away all the stuff that doesn't need to be there.  I'm now down to a nice lean amount of electrics but I still can't get the think to turn over.  The start motor tries to turn but probably does about 2 or 3 revs (of the starter) and gives up.  I've got a battery charger attached to a car battery in jump start (80A) mode and it just won't budge more than two or three turns.
Soooooo..... I removed the starter motor to check it over and it was totally jammed in there, when I did get out I've snapped the neck off at the o-ring  :ireful: so the front end of the starter is currently in a vice tonight with liquid metal trying to bond it together.
Here's a few photos I took the other day early in the electrical modifications.

I was doing some cleaning up in the garage and I found an old starter changed out a few years ago. It doesn't work well when hot, but is physically good.

If you want, I can send it to you for the price of shipping so you can use the casing.
