Where can i buy 258 shims?

Im going to order some half size shims from rpm but it seems they are out of stock of size 258 .
I rechecked my valves yesterday because i had some tikking noise after adjustment.All my exhaustvalves is .03 - .04mm larger than it should be and to fix it i have to use halfsize shims.

Any good shop/garage should have them.
1985 - Yamaha FJ1100 36Y

Nope i tryed at yamaha Norway and they say its not possible to order halfsize shims, also tryed some yamaha repairshops and they dont want to sell out halfsize shims only regular.

Would using 260s or 255s not bring you into the range?

OK, my local garage have them and I pay approx.USD 2.00 each if I trade my own ones in.

Exactly. I didn't even know that they're offered in such increments (258). Heck, 0.02mm = .0007"!!!!

When i try to order the 258 shim the page turns gray and its not added to basket .If i click on any other shimsizes its added to basket .
Anyway i have fixed my valves now.

mzfazer27, you went as high as 255 last week, no 258.

They are on order, but it probably will not be here until sometime in November.

Triumph dealers often have the half size shims available.  In fact, RPM is the only non-triumph place I've seen have them listed at all.

Thats right!! I looked at that shim. I went out to the shop last night and saw that.
