What time of day on Friday will you be at the camp ground? I get home from work at 8 a.m. Friday so I'm keeping the option open to head out there soon after, then catch sleep at the camp, or sleep 4+ hours then head out after lunch.
I'm going to take Hwy 7 until I'm well east of Peterborough to stay off the 401 as much as possible. It should be a nice ride up there, like usual.
If someone wants to see any images I refer to in posts, first check my gallery here. If no bueno, send me a PM. More than glad to share.

My 2c worth - stay on #7 til #37 then start scooting down to the campsite.  If you're willing to slab it 1/2 the way on the 407 to Harmony Rd that will cut down the traffic and gain you some time - and cost you probably $30 - $40 (?) in tolls.  407 - Harmony - #7.  Or take 407 - 404 - Bloomington Rd - #7A.  I'm suggesting the 407 only to avoid the inevitable disasters that occur on the QEW/401.  Unless you're willing to bypass all 400 series hwys then I'll just shut up...

I may head down Thurs night or Fri morning.  I'll know by mid week.  If Fri maybe we could hook up on the way.

Hey Charlie,
I have Friday booked off and should be out there most of the day, might have some last minute running around to, but come on out straight after work if you want, we'll tuck you in for a nap when you get there.  I'll PM you my cell # so you can text me your ETA...

So that 's settled.  I'll head up Fri morning also.  If you want to meet up on the way Charlie give me a PM also.  :good:  Or if anyone else is, maybe we could get a convoy going.

Thanks Dan. I got the PM, putting in my contacts.

407 can go bite me - I thought it would be a good idea when going to Rice Lake two years ago which would put me in the same segment east of Toronto. The drivers are just as homicidal as on any other 400 class highway. One guy, I probably could have jumped off my bike à la Fast & Furious and danced on the roof of his SUV then jumped back on my bike and kicked in his door; he wouldn't have noticed.

When I went out to Cape Breton in July I used Hwy 7 all the way to Ottawa because i was making such good progress and with zero stress and nice scenery.

PaulG, look for a PM about the FJ seats you picked up.

OK, got to get some sleep after 3 nights on my feet for 12 hours each, because at 2 p.m. I have a dental appointment. Living the dream.  :negative:
