Excellent job but it was the paintwork on your top yoke that caught my eye, very nice!

That is the original paint. I resently found this NOS top yoke. Only cost USD 30.

If you mean the top yoke, then I found it at a Polish dealer that buys NOS stock from other dealer that has gone out of business. They only had the one.

This is my setup.. Got 2 layers of self adhesive vinyl I use for decals and stuck it on the top of the dash. Lightly sanded it and glued the GPS mount to it. I ran the 12 volt cable along the body and wired in a cigarette lighter adapter midway to connect to with an inline fuse. I also put a remote switch under the topbox rack to isolated power.rather than switch on and off. Use the switch it does it .

Good looking setup Jeff.

They always reckon you get a good view of your elbows in the standard mirrors.

I'm glad you found the cause of the stiff throttle. I honestly don't know how you rode it. If that fixes it be careful you don't launch yourself off the back the first time you hit it and you might find you'll actually have a use for that throttle lock now!

I'll be interested to see how the new bars work out or if it's just a con job on the wife to justify a BMW. "Honey, I've tried everything.....there seems to be only one solution......"

Noel.
My wife wants me to upgrade. She thinks the FJ is an endless money pit. Im the one holding back. I like the old barge. with all its faults it never complains or let's me down..... Yet... This is now a challenge to see if the mod works. However, I might yet go and get a stable mate for the FJ.
That, is bound to get a reaction from her indoors.
