Can anyone tell me if a 2005 FJR 1300 Brake M/C has a 14mm or a 15mm piston?

15mm.... IIRC  Leon just went thru this. He bought a FJR m/c thinking that it was a 14mm.....I use a 2002 FZ-1 m/c which is a 14mm Pat

Actually Pat, I am using a 2004 FZ6 front brake master cylinder.

I bought a 2003 FJR "clutch" master cylinder, with the thought of running a double clutch spring set-up at some point.

I bought the 2006 FJR master cylinder and it was a 15mm.  I am still using it and it's way better than the 5/8th OEM one.

Watch out for the brake light switch though, there seems to be some sort of mix up there.  The one I bought from Boats.net works opposite of the FJ's.  Seems that this might be a mix up at the factory in Japan but I could not get a data sheet from Yamaha USA to verify this.  I went to the FJR owners and got a somewhat straight answer from them after much prodding that the switch is built incorrectly.

Seems that the other forums I have joined and then left do not have the same comradeship as the this one.

For those who don't want to do the math, 5/8" = 15.875mm.  So a 15 is a little change, and a 14 a bigger change.
