I had a look at an '06 Blackbird from a private seller.

It has 22k on it and the chain is buggered -I could pull it out a 1/4" off the rear sprocket.

It is straight and the rear tyre is worn evenly.

With a major 24k service coming up, new tyre, chain & sprockets & rego up in three months I might make him a fairly low offer.

I believe they are more comfortable than a Busa.

Just a thought at this stage.
I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired'?

"Well. I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch, and margaritas into urine."

I was interested in a BB a few years back. Then 3 things happened: Honda dropped support of it (I already have 2 bikes that are obsolete), the front forks have NO adjustments, and I sat on a friend's BB.  The reach to the bars was like 6 feet!  It felt like I was laying on the tank.  Great motor, but a disappointing package for me.

Busa is far more comfortable IMO.

DavidR.

Just to be pedantic, all forks have adjustment available, but some allow adjustment without disassembly.  You can change preload, oil viscosity, oil height, and spring rate on all telescopic forks.

I just figured that turn about was fair play :-)

Also, I've been told that many who may not be as 'experienced' as we are, actually think that without EXTERNAL adjusters, there is no adjustment available.

Cheers,

For some reason that reminds me of the time you told Mazz that you didn't read ALL of his posts.

He was crushed!  :-)
