Tight Race Tech springs

Finally tore the first front fork off. New bushings and seals.
Went to slide the Race Tech spring in w/ the RPM valve and the spring drags on the inside of the tube.
Won't slide in fully.
I'm sure that the spacer goes on top. Would defeat the function of the fork valve.
Any suggestions before I tear the fork apart?

When I got my fork valves from Randy they came with pretty detailed and easy to follow instructions.... Did you read them?

Check with Randy, the springs should slide in very easy. If they drag on the inside and won't slide all the way in then you have a spring for larger forks..
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

I am reviewing all of my paperwork and don't find where I supplied the springs.

Race Tech manufactures a wide variety of springs in all different shapes & sizes, even though the spring rate is the same.

Shoot me an email with the part number you purchased and I can confirm you have the proper springs. If they are not the O.D. might be too big and rubbing the inside of the fork tube.

The spacer goes on the top on the spring to ease in adjustment.

Lesson to myself (and anyone who hasn't already learned this one). FJ-specific parts and stuff, just get it from RPM.
Thought that I'd save $20 buying online.
Idiot!  Wrong diameter springs.
Spoke w/ Randy, ordered the proper ones.
Now I have to pay return shipping to the on line people..
Attempt to save a few bucks ended up costing me a bit. 
I guess that a $6.99 lesson learned is pretty inexpensive, as lessons go.
