While doing a parts search to help another member, I came across a great find.
A NOS Vance & Hines PowerPak ignition box/CDI.

I currently have the same unit for my bike and it works great. I messaged the guy about it and he asked me to make him an offer he could not refuse. I was thinking he would want $250 to $300 for it. I gave him an offer and it is now on the way to me.

I guess you could call these the predecessor to today's power commander for fuel injected bikes.
This gives you 4 settings for timing and 4 settings for RPM redline. You can mix and match the settings to your choice. It is all done with old school dip switches. Here is a photo of the dip switch settings.
