Starting to have a little problem with my sending unit as a completely full tank will not raise the gauge needle all the way to full.
Bike has been sitting for a few months, so I am hoping a few tanks will loosen the float up to get it to work.  Otherwise......................
What do you suggest?
As you know, part is no longer available.   thanx

I had a similar problem with my 1200....... It read full all the time......

I am not sure if they are repairable.....but you can pick them up on eBay for not much.

Check your wiring connector blocks inside the fairing. I had my fairing off one time and noticed after connecting everything back up that the fuel gauge was slow to react and read about a quarter of a tank lower than normal. Pulled the connector blocks apart and gave them a good clean with contact cleaner and everything was back to normal. Worth a try.

Great suggestion.
I had assumed that the fault was hardware not electrical, but your suggestion makes a lot of sense.  And much less messy than pulling the sensor from the tank.
