I want to replace the fuel filter.  Is there a better aftermarket filter available?

Not that I have found, the hose size is the biggest problem as it is 9mm. Most aftermarket filters are either 6, 8 or 10mm. The problem with one that is too small for the hose is the clamp sometimes cant compress the hose and they leak. If you get a 10mm the hose splits open.

That is why I only offer the Yamaha 89+ FJ Undertank Fuel Filter - O.E. for the FJ as it is the only one I have found that fits properly and does not create a fire hazard.

Ok, I will have to order a filter from you soon.  I saw a few rust pinholes when I shined a light down in the crevices of the tank.  I have been using Heet to remove any residual water.
