I sold my bikes when I fell ill with chronic fatigue but missed riding loads, I purchased smaller bikes to keep riding but purchased another FJ off ebay and collected it today

In a lot of pain at present but worth it! My son has kindly rented a garage for the bike collection and not having to manoeuvre around in confined areas means I get ride a larger bike again

Love having all that torque again, need to have a look around the bike tomorrow but from today's ride the gear change is a little awkward (previous owner has just replaced clutch and the slave and master cylinder seals so probably needs bleeding a little and front brakes are very wooden, may also be a bleed issue but will check

Usual fairing cracks, all gauges working well but can't see behind me with the mirrors, my old 1TX was much better here, overall very pleased even is my barclaycard took a hit - insurance was cheaper than my honda c90   :yahoo:

I purchased rpm's fork valves fro the old bike which are still on a shelf, need to order some springs, this bike better than the old one but pitches a bit on our high quality lincolnshire roads

The RPM valves, proper springs and oil will tame the front end quite a bit. I was shocked how much the front end feel and handling improved with the RPM valves. I was not as shocked when I put the RPM shock on, I expected as much improvement and I was not disappointed. It performed as well as the valves. Riding is much nicer when you are not fighting the bike to keep a line in a corner. Welcome back to the FJ... What color is your '89?
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Sounds like the theft deterrent Silver and White. That is an '89 FJ...

Welcome back (although you really never leave the FJ) :)..  Sounds like you are on the mend. Motorcycles have there own healing ability.  Even if it is for short pleasure rides.  Springs and emulators make a big difference in the front end for sure.
