Hi
Just bought my first 1200. Previously owned an 1100, which was an excellent bike, so when the opportunity to own a 1200 came along I jumped at the chance
It joins a few [varied] bikes in my garage and was bought specifically for a foreign trip next year, giving me plenty of time [hopefully] to get used to it

Regards

Welcome to the forum :hi:

Great choice for your trip. Since you have already owned an 1100, there isn't much difference on what the riding position is. The major things you will notice is the better front wheel handling and the lack of engine vibration.

I also purchased a Satin Black FJ a couple of years ago. I added graphics to break up the all one color.

I got the graphics here. http://www.diablocycle.com/FJ1200-1989-Complete-Decal-Set.html

Or the Red and Silver graphics. http://www.ebay.com/itm/131311151696?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT#ht_938wt_916
