Stainless steel for muffler packing

Hey gang, sorry for the late reply, as a followup, back in November, Randy asked me about where I found my muffler packing material used on my Cobra F1's. The material I use is "scrubble" stainless steel, which consist of ~1/8" wide ribbons of steel produced as by product of milling. This is much  heavier than traditional course stainless steel wool, consider this is a life time product, install once, then forget about it. It will never blow out. Staintune, from Australia, uses this same material in their silencers which are warrantied for a lifetime against blow out.

I recall I used about 3/4 bag per side so 2 bags were needed for the Cobra's. For folks who have only 1 silencer on their header, 1 bag should do it, unless it's a very large can.
Yes, expensive, but worth it not having to ever hassle repacking. No blow outs.
Yes, it's a bit heavier than traditional fiberglass packing but ~3/4 lb per side is no biggie.
Yes, by all means, wear gloves, this shit has some very sharp edges DAMHIK...

It will cut thru a leather glove like a razor.
Use tongs , long nose pliers , any implement that will avoid HANDLING the stuff.
Ask any machinist that works stainless, they will show you the scars- I can!!
