Bonneville Salt Flats----for bikes only!!

Speed Week  at the Bonneville Salt Flats has been cancelled for 2015.  The condition of the salt  precludes the safe running of all the high speed vehicles at this time.

However,  the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials  ((BMST)  is still scheduled to run.  The salt should be  "healed"  by then.  This event starts Sunday August 30 2015.

Is this the year when a motorcycle breaks  the 400 mph barrier?   Could happen.  There are several
motorcycle streamliners entered.........that are totally capable  of layin' down a 400 mph run.

I think current record is 376+ mph, set several years ago.

I'm headin' over there.....hoping to see history in the making.  It's a Damn good time.

I hope some the the FJ folks come out to see this spectacle.

I'd love to go to Bonneville, either for speed weeks, or for the motorcycle only event.
I would also like to go to a flat-track event.

I am not sure if I would enjoy the crowds at the Sturgis "Big Event" 

I know you always go and have a good time Lee. The people are what it's all about.
