Carb Issue - I'm stumped.

Bike - 91 FJ1200

Issue-- Carbs puke fuel from drains and balance tubes.

When did it start-- Had someone pull out in front of me and stop. I got on the brakes hard as there was no way to go around. I high sided and the bike slid on the left side for 25 feet. The bike sat for about 2 months until I was able to collect all the parts. Nothing changed, nothing removed, nothing fiddled with.

When does it do it--I can pull the carbs, clean everything and put them together, install and it will be fine if I let it idle all day. The minute I give it throttle and let off it will start puking fuel

Maintenance performed to fix the issue -- I've pulled the carbs multiple times, cleaned, inspected, cleaned again. I set the floats in fuel to see if the are leaking...they are not. I've pushed compressed air thru the ports to make sure there was nothing blocking them. I've checked float adjustments and everything seems to be correct. :dash2: :dash2: :dash2:

I have new o-rings and float bowl gasket, needles and I ordered 1 float.

Toss some ideas at me here guys, I am at the end of my rope with this thing and am considering parting it out if I cant get this squared away....I was tempted to burn it to the ground after removing the carbs for the 10th time this afternoon  :bomb: :bomb: :bomb:

Put the carbs in a box and send them to me, for around $175.00 they will be complete disassembled & ultra sonic cleaned, all new o-rings & screws installed and rebuilt properly.

Now, I did read in one of your earlier posts you had a "jet kit" in the carbs, so there might be some jets required but they are pretty cheap at less than $4.00 each.

Great value from Randy for a re-build.  I have rebuilt several sets and I always replace the needles and seats because of the frustration if they leak when put back together.

Needle seat o-rings makes perfect sense. They could have dried out and shrunk while it was idle....If the reseal does not fix it I will consider sending them out to RPM. Money is a little tight but I will not be able to ride for at least 12 weeks due to wrist surgery and I picked up a part time job at an auto parts store so that will help me afford to get the bike squared away.
