Difference between FJ1100 and FJ1200 Front Sprocket cover

Hi ,I have been  looking for a 1986 to 1993 front sprocket cover to fit onto a 1990 FJ1200 3CC Japan imported Motor.
So far I have bought a FJ1100 Sprocket cover, thinking that it was the same as a FJ1200.
I was un-aware that  the Sprocket covers where changed  in 1986.
The FJ1100  84 and 85  Sprocket cover part number is     36y-15411-02-00
and the FJ1200  86 to 93 Sprocket cover part number is   ITX-15411-01-00.
After finding this out
I then bought another sprocket cover from a Motorbike parts seller in the USA ,He said the Cover was from a 1992 FJ1200.
The cover  just arrived to me here in Aussie and "Bugger"  its the exactly the same as the 1st Cover that I already have from a FJ1100.
so I have 2 sprocket covers both the Sprocket covers have  36Y-02  Stamped on them on the inside.
So I now have 2 Sprocket covers that will not fit my 1990 3CC  FJ1200 Motor .
When I fit the Covers onto  my 3CC  1990 FJ1200 Motor,, the Cover hits against the side of the Sprocket.
It,s as if the Cover is not wide enough by about 5mm.
Can some please tell me  if the FJ1200  86 to 93  ITX Sprocket Cover is wider than a FJ1100 Cover which has 36Y-02 Stamped on the inside of it.
The 2 covers that  hits the sprocket by about 5mm,
Yes I do have the correct 17 tooth Yamaha Sprocket  fitted onto the shaft ,with locking washer etc.
I see other sellers selling the 36Y-02 Sprocket Covers on the net and they are also saying that the covers with 36Y-02 came off  FJ1200 motors,

Interesting. Did you receive the motor with a cover ? I don't have an early cover so I don't know if there is a difference. There is a possibility that a PO installed a longer output shaft out of an XJR to help align the front sprocket with a modified rear wheel ? I read that the XJR output shaft is 8mm longer. You might publish the measured distance between the sprocket and the case so someone can compare that dimension.

Sorry not much help here. You might ask Randy at RPM via an e mail I am sure he knows right off the bat what the difference is.  IF it is an XJR shaft you will need a XJR cover.
