Ah, my home state! My folks still live there but on the other end. I'm not quite ready for that long of a ride yet.

I had planned on a ride to SD this week, but didn't get the luggage in time (and the weather has been crappy). And in all honestly, after a 300+ mile trip last week I realized how out of shape I am. My knees hurt something terrible towards the end of the ride and I had a bad case of monkey butt at the end. A new to me seat should be here next week, so hopefully that and some new shorts I'm trying out will help with that. The knees will be fine with more frequent stops.

That and a few other reasons is why we are trailering the 1800 plus mile round trip from here.  The weather is going to be a challange but the good news it should keep the traffic down and the pirate parades to a minimum level.  Like you I am out of shape to do that long of a trip at this point.  Most of the riders from here usually take 3 days to get there from here. When they hit Jackson Hole / Grand Teton / Yellowstone and Cody they get distracted .
