Hope you chaps can help me out, I was messing with my exhaust and have managed to lost the bolt that holds the collector box to the frame. Does anyone know what the size is so I can get a replacement, nothing I have fits.

Mr. Drunk,
Check this parts blow-up:  http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Yamaha/Motorcycle/1992/FJ1200AD/EXHAUST/parts.html

The bolt in question is part # 23, which threads into part #24, through part #'s 11 and 12.

I think it's an M8 or M10 with a thread pitch of 1. I have one here somewhere, if I can find it in a timely manner, I'll re-post to verify.

...and part #24 bolts onto the ENGINE, with the bolts and washers, part #'s 25, 26 and 27.

Perhaps you have a little bag on the corner of your workbench with all this stuff in it???

Marty is correct. The size can be found in the part number. The 10040 means M10 x 40mm length. It is a flange head bolt
