Life isn't about having the best, but about making the best of what you have...

Dawn service was absolutely Packed at cotton tree.

The Jet that suddenly & unexpectedly flew over the Surf club around 10 ish scared the shit outa everybody, esp the grandson. I was babysitting while his dad is in Turkey. (Lone Pine Hill, just after dawn, as I type).

The local Community radio broadcast some great tributes here from 5am, for those that couldn`t physically attend.....Very moving. One of the stories was about "Fighting Mac"...a Queenslander. Captain William McKenzie (1869 - 1947). Came from the Canefields up North of here. The narrative on radio this morning was much better than the book....but a great Australian. http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/mckenzie-william-7391
