Running lights

Fitted some Bikevis running lights today, great little product that's not expensive and hopefully makes the bike a bit more visible, assuming whoever it is takes the trouble to look in the first place of course.

Do they actually help see in the dark ? or just for oncoming traffic to see you?

Per the Bikevis webpage "BikeVis Ultra bright (white version similar in colour to HID / Xenon and > 60 lumens)".  60 lumens is about  like  about LED penlight so I'd guess visibility improvement only.

John, have you done the headlight relay mod yet?  That will brighten things up.

As Ed says, purely a visibility mod, they don't project a beam for any distance just helps the bike stand out a bit more, and yes Pat have done the headlight mod and it's definitely worthwhile almost cook toast on high beam now, doesn't show up too well in the photos, the running lights also are a lot brighter in real life than in photos.
