David, many of us have already done exactly that and posted up in the Modifications section of this forum.  Also many mods get posted in the What did you to your FJ today. Click on this link for my last posting to install a rear tire hugger. Have a stroll through the two sections, you will find many pics to go with the modifications and upgrades. One of the many great things about this group and the site hosted here allowing us to document and share our love affair with the FJ.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

I was rushed ....when I posted that . Stupid night shift was getting in the way lol.
I am specifically looking for pics of modifications to the rear tail light and signals.
Any pics of custom work or newer LED would be cool to see what others have done. I just wanted a quick description of where they got the parts or ideas when the mod or change was made. Specifically if parts from are from other makes and models that were used.
That is if anyone would give up the time to post or PM me there pics that would be great .
Thanks

Arnie

Pretty sure that rpmracingca.com has LED taillights that are basically plug and play.
There should be pics on RPM site as well as here.

Life isn't about having the best, but about making the best of what you have...

Here is a view of the RPM smoked tail light with integrated turn signals. The clear LED tail light can be found on eBay Germany.
