Where's it all go?

So what started out as a gear selection issue has turned into, well you see ...
So far I've managed to:
break two screws in the lower case,
break two posts from the inner clutch basket, (so much for special tool - grinder needed in the end)
totally mangle the oil pump gear circlip,
knock a piston off the bench and crack the skirt,
fail to get the gudgeon pin circlips out of another piston, (read two new pistons)
break two circlips on the gearbox rear shaft,
splash turps (the dirty guck filled kind) into my face, and
generally slice my knuckles on the edges of the case castings.

Arr, the FJ eeeness of it all.  :scratch_one-s_head:

So Wiseco piston kit? Who knows?
New shift cam required and a whole heap of bearings that's for sure.
But being in the country means the postie finishes on Friday 18th December and won't be back untill the 4th January.
Ah well, eager anticipation over the next two and a half weeks for parts from USA.

Cheers all, it's break time. :good2:

Well thats the  way it goes , tear it down for one thing and replace 4 or 5 things and mod this and fix that.

I think it was a clever plan to rebuild your engine.

Gotta love FNQ (Fargin North Queensland) Aye  :wacko1:
Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying every minute of the FJ rebuild.
Cause atleast I'll know every bit of the bike is in solid condition.

It's involving stuff. I'm posting a video of my efforts soon to help you on your way.

Here's a picture of the effects of brake fluid on the FJ's chassis.

That's a great idea - FJ how to video's. :drinks:
I might give it a go too!
Seeing as how my gearbox is open, seems as good a place to start as any?
