In a week or two, will be ordering some tyres from https://www.jakewilson.com/c/343/Motorcycle-Tires-All
I am thinking about trying the new Pirelli Angel GT's which have been getting good reviews. The price for these delivered is approx $ 375 depending on exchange rate and paypal charges etc. This will be the third set of tyres I have ordered from them. the last set was ordered on Sunday and arrived in Brisbane on Friday.
I was wondering if anyone in SE Qld  wants to take advantage of the cheap US prices and combine an order with me. Two set of Pirellis would bring the price down to approx $ 355 per set. Of coarse you could order any brand or type of tyre that they have in stock.
Fitting and balancing is up to you ( I did my own ), money up front and I could probably deliver around the Brisbane area, otherwise you collect
Jake Wilson also have accessories, tools and clothing and as long as the total cost is below $1000 there will be no GST. I have previously bought a Jacket and tools off them at good prices
No responsibility taken for cock ups beyond my control

I guess you have to weigh up the monetary savings against any inconvenience, hassles fitting the tyres, after sales service and loyalties. For me, I have good results with buying from the US and in fact have had exceptional service from everyone I have dealt with. A lot of the parts bought from RPM are easily sourced in Australia , but many prefer to deal with Randy rather than the local Yamaha stealers

I would like to support the locals myself but i find it hard at times. 3 locals to me in the last 5 years have mounted directional tyres the wrong way, cracked a mirror in their shop but wouldnt admit to it and the 3rd who i had do a front tyre for me (slow but fair value) ruined a mates speedo cable and the speedo thing on the front hub(Z650) aND took over 3 hours to remove wheels and put on new tyres, plus charged him extra (for time) to compensate for his inexperience. That was my mates experience with motorcycle warehouse... For some reason he attempted to remove the exhaust as well. No reason to.  But to be fair , if you take in your wheels off the bike he's very competitive with his price..

I have ordered my new tyres from Jake Wilson. I went for a set of Bridgestone BT023 AUD $339. Because I have an early 4.5" GSXR rear wheel I decided to get a 160/70 rear and a 110/70 for the standard front rim. I could have gone up a size but these are the tyres recommended for these rims. Havent used Bridgestones since I ran BT45's on my Guzzi but the reviews on the BT023's are positive.
I will post my impressions as soon as they are fitted along with some pics. My 3/4 worn Azzaro is being donated to VOYAGER ( Glenn ) to replace his 20 yo Harley donut before it lets go and dumps him down the road

Your a funny bugger stu,  just dont wear out my tyre
