Impromptu After-Work Ride

After driving the VW Camper to and from work yesterday, I felt the need for some "quick time".

Changed clothes, rib dinner at a local Bar-B-Que joint, then out, out, and away!

Y'ever just go for a ride with no particular destination in mind? Decide which way to turn as you're IN the intersection? (not a busy one, mind you...)

That sums up last night.

Rode some roads I've never been down before. Saw things I haven't seen before. Felt GREAT!

I've noticed that my FJ's really like the colder, dense air. (This has been mentioned before.)

Anyway, when I got back, I calculated that about 130 miles had gone by. Seemed like nothing.

...just had to share!

Sounds like you had a good stress free ride. :good2:

Possible 2" of snow tomorrow.

The FJ's may like to run in cooler weather. Cold soaked batteries don't care much for a 17*F wake up.  :wacko2: Took 4 tries to get the beasty started Wednesday morning.

I love day-rides like that......................No particular destination or route in mind...
Just wing-it as I go.......

I usually find some great out-of-the-way places to eat riding this way too.......... :good:

Just got done shoveling 7 inch's of snow.  Down to single digits tomorrow night so I pulled the FJ battery and will store it inside. Looks like the motorcycle is down for the count now.
I agree the best riding is "going no where".  Just enjoying the next view and a piece of pie...

Y'ever go for a ride with a particular destination in mind and never get there?

That's good, too.  :good2:
