Fall Ride 2014 - Midland, Haliburton and Huntsville, ON

My wife and I went on our annual fall ride this past weekend (Sep 25-28) with our usual group of local friends. Besides the FJ the ride included the following steeds: 2009 FJR1300, 1999 ST1100, 2012 Super Tenere 1200, 2013 BMW GS1200, 2001 BMW 1150RT, 2011 Ducati Multistrada 1200 and a 200? Honda Shadow 750. We typically ride to NY/PA but this year we decided to change things up a bit and went to Midland, ON and then did a loop to Haliburton on Friday and Huntsville on Saturday. All I can say is that the weather was absolutely perfect. 24C (75F) and not a cloud in the sky for three days straight. Great roads, great bikes, great food and great friends - an A+ trip all around. The FJ performed beautifully (of course) keeping pace with all those new-fangled machines with their fuel injection, fancy electronics, ABS, linked brakes, shaft drive and all that. My cousin's 2009 FJR sure was pretty and I may get one when (if) I grow up but for now I'm still really happy with the FJ.
