Forks and cutting out.

Finally got my 86 running and idling well. Went to take it for a test run and the front end feels like it wants to let go on corners. The bike has sat for 6 years so a fork service will probably fix that. Should I get rid of the anti-dive? Do I get blanking plates made up? Took it for a run to a mechanic but now it's cutting intermittently. Seems electrical as all cylinders died together. Check connections?

If you chose to to use blanking plates, make sure they allow oil to pass between the upper and lower passages. Or just remove the upper portion of the units and pull the hoses off. I upgraded to 89' FJ forks, 88' FZR1000 wheel (17" x 3.5"), blue dot calipers, and the RPM valves, one of the best mods to date. 
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Problems solved using Occam's Razor. Correct tyre pressures now have the bike handling much better. Sidestand switch had been pinched and was shorting just enough to disrupt running. I will be on the lookout for 89 forks, thanks FJmonkey.

Steve, I have a set of '93 forks here.......the tubes are are buggered (read VERY rusty), but the sliders are OK. From memory, the sliders will exchange onto your tubes.
