Will not start when I pull clutch in

It will not start when I pull the clutch in, I have to select neutral all the time

I checked clutch switch and wiring with voltmeter to the first plug and all was working fine

the kick stand switch is working because engine dies with it down and select gear

Have you checked the REST of the wiring from that first plug nearest the clutch switch to the ignition unit?
You only need one of the wires to be frayed and shorting for it not to work.
