That combo works well Mark. Get the RPM valves with the Racetech springs that Randy sells as well, front forks will never have felt better.

fwiw...experimenting with ride height is easier with an adjustable shock...it also will return a stable feel you may have lost...then front end deficiency's will be enhanced...then it's on to a nice pair of fork valves/springs...then some better rubber then wheels then.... :flag_of_truce:try to be happy/satisfied....good luck
Man that is a sweet looking fj   damn you guy's are so lucky with your small reg plates tidy's up the back real sweet  :good2:..over here ours is 9inch x 7inch :( looks like a barn door attached to the rear... :(

It is a barn door, or should I say a sail. A reg plate that large will provide a tremendous amount of wind resistance and limit your speed.... Maybe that is the intended effect???...
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

The raised rear end is a great mod. For a short time I had another FJ that still had OEM suspension. On the 1 curvy road that we have near me. I had to remember that The black bike had OEM suspension and that I had to ride a bit more conservative. Standard rear ride hieght IMO makes the FJ feel like a slug compared to the raised rear end/shorter dog bone mod. :flag_of_truce:

Here is the raised rear of my 89'. As you can see the dog bones are extremely long. That is due to the 98' BMW K1200RS shock installed. This set up is going to change this evening. I should receive the new RPM shock today  :dance2: :yahoo:  and I already have received the Soupy's adjustable dog Bones.

New RPM shock Fred, you lucky thing!  Will be nice.
Its amazing the difference in dog bone length has on the rear, 169mm, wow. Standard centres are 125mm, and I shortened mine to 115mm to get the back raised enough, but of course different configurations of shocks will sometimes require shorter/longer bones. I'd be interested to hear your report on the Soupys Fred,  :good2:
