G'day. :dash1:
I went for a ride on Tuesday to see how far I could ride in 1 day. I suppose you could say I was in training for the WOG57 Rally next year.
Any way I got to Batemans Bay mid afternoon and called it quits there. 440 kilometres.
On the way I stopped at Cann River and met a bloke who proudly got out his fourth Iron Butt certificate, after I told him what I was doing.
Talk about "unworthy" here I was after 130K's feeling sore and disapointed and then to meet Skip (Richard, this guy knows you)  with his Iron Butt. What could I do but jump back on and ride off into the distance.
The bike was running like it was new and the roads along the South East Coast between Edan and Batemans Bay were just fantastic. The only problems I had were sore knees and sore hips. Iwent for a long walk around the CBD of Batemans Bay and felt quite good after that.
I set off for home on wednesday morning and was looking for a suitable spot to stop after only 50K's. :dash1:
So my plan is to ride more often for longer distances to condition my ageing body so I can get to Grafton in 3 or 4 days.
Be Good.

Well done. It can take a while to get ride fit and sort out the things that make you want to get off the bike..

Stick with it and even short rides help with distance riding.

Tony, you went straight past my front door. Well almost. If I had known you were coming I would have caught up and had a coffee with you. If ever you're up this way again   (this also applies to anyone else riding up this way) let me know you're coming and we can meet up. My work is fairly flexible, so taking time off for a ride and a coffee will always fit in.  Pete. :drinks:

That's very generous of you Pete, but where the bloody hell are you?

Between Eden and Batemans Bay. Bermagui to be exact. As Tony mentioned, some great roads around here but I'm sure he wouldn't have seen many of them riding up the highway. Lots of minor roads with great twisties and spectacular scenery.  Pete. :good2:

Hi Pete, despite getting very sore on my trip up to Batemans Bay, I find I have an "itch" to do it again. I'll keep you in mind if I do so we can catch up for that coffee.
I was also thinking of Joe over that time as well.
Be Good.
