I've been lurking around a little since I got my bike so I figured Id introduce myself. I'm from Tennessee and recently picked up an 84 fj with a little ovee 9k on the clock out of a barn. Its in really rough shape because it's been sitting for so long so I'm in the process of dissasembling and cleaning and painting. A lot of rust and residue to come off (my brake resevoirs looked like they were full of breadcrumbs.) Anyway, thanks for reading. Hope to be a fellow FJ rider soon as I can get this thing on the road.

Welcome. Looks like a terrific barn find. 9k is virtually new on these bikes.. You will find tons of info and help for the restore..  :good2:

Welcome to the group ! Post some pictures of your progress if you can and don't hesitate to ask questions.  Lots of help here.  When it is time,  think about attending a rally.  :good2:

Thanks, I'll definitely be posting some pictures of how. it's going. I've made a little progress so far, mainly with the subframe and exhaust. I'm about to start on dropping the engine to get off the rust and other things off the frame and engine, so I'll put some stuff up after I'm done with that later tonight.

Cool, you got the Red and Silver color, my favorite. Welcome and thank you for saving her. I can't wait to see your progress.
