Uni filter oil

I just had my carbs overhauled at RPM and bought a set of pods but didn't think to get the oil. 

Are there good substitutes if I can't find it locally? I see BelRay has some stuff that looks good.

You'll probably be fine with the BelRay oil. Although Uni would feel otherwise, because it's not their oil, and they couldn't guarentee the performance of their filter, if Belray's oil were used.

I used the Belray oil on stock Yamaha foam filters that were in my YZ motocross bikes, and never had any issues. If those dusty conditions were not the worst to show any of the oil's shortcomings, I wouldn't know what could be.

When using the BelRay oil, I really liked its blue color, because you could see that you had complete (or not) coverage when it was applied. Uni's is clear, or near-clear, so it's more difficult to tell.

I am not a big fan of the Bel Ray, but any oil marketed for a foam air filter will work. My preference was PJ1 which comes in a spray can. Very easy to apply, and works as well as anything on the market. As a matter of fact tPJ1 also sells a foam air filter cleaner that works great.

Should be available in any dirty bike shop.

Get the UniPod oil.... Randy has it. Cycle Gear usually has it. Almost any place that sells dirt bikes has it. A small can will last a long time.

Thanks gents, I'll call some local shops to find the UniPod stuff.
