Here is a picture of the modified exhaust mounting on the fj1100. The pipes haven't been welded yet.  I'm also waiting for the new set of tires that I ordered. Some like it some don't .  :good2:

FJman,

I like the look of the new cans, can we see a side view?  Who makes them?  To each their own, maybe, but I would want as many people to see my tail lights as possible.  Since the pipes are not welded yet, I think I would mount the pipes right about where they are located, but a bit lower than the bottom of the tail light (distance being measured from the ground).  That might be important, if you decide to add an integrated "tail light & turn signals" lens later.  RPM has a good one.

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.

Uhhh, looks fine if the bike is only going to be used on sunny dry days.  Not sure what you'll do when it rains.  Do you have drain holes in the connector pipe?
I think you'd be better off with turn down tips on those cans to deflect from the rain.

Nice job tucking the cans in!  I think Arnie's worry about riding in the rain may be overstated--but, PARKING IN THE RAIN will assuredly be a problem.  Also, what about turn signals? I think that maybe lowering the cans below the taillight level (as has also been suggested) is a minimum.  Further, what about the connecting plumbing between can & Collector?  I suspect that you're not going to see any real improvement in cornering angle by the time the pipe is bent & connected.

Overall, it an interesting exercise, but I think a bit of tuning (aluminum strap and bends) may be in order.  :i_am_so_happy:
