The GTS seems like it was a very "Honda-esque" move.  I'll bet if Honda had released it, it would have enjoyed some select success like the VFR800 or ST1100 (or whatever it's displacement is!). But, since Yamaha released it, it gets labeled more "funky" instead of "an engineering tour de force".
