Clutch master cylinder from Dawn Knights

I ordered a VFR 800 style clutch m/c from Dawn Knights. It took about 3 weeks but finally came. the unit looks pretty decent so I put it on, bled the line and got it working smooth. I  rode it and parked it on the side stand at work when I came out a few hours later I noticed it leaking from around the cap so I took it off. That's when I noticed the fluid had turned dark, and there was paint coming off the edge and inside of the cap,also overspray on the inside of the reservoir. I took it back off and completely cleaned the inside and edges of the cap and cup,and cleaned the line and re bled back to smooth feel again. For the price [$55] its a bargin. I would recommend the unpainted units if anyone is looking to purchase one, or be prepared to do the extra prep to a painted unit. I'm happy to report that after a weeks use it hasn't leaked and works smooth. More later.                         Charley
