I finally got to ride with the Yoshimura pipe on

Holy crap man I finally got to take that test ride with the pipe and jetting done, what a difference! At last I can hear what that sweet engine is doing. Its alot easier to keep my speed down when necessary now. I highly recommend this mod to anyone still running stock exhaust. 45 miles of sheer bliss!                    Go ride dammit!                                                                                                                                                                                             Charley

It's always fun making loise. Why is that? I thought V & H and Kerker were the only hedders available. did you buy them new or used. Those are megaphone type, aren't they? What size main jets did you put in?

Hey Joe, The exhaust is about 15 yrs. old so I dont know if theyre still available. Its a 4into1 with aluminum can and round tip.IM running 115 mains and #40 pilots which seem to be about right. The airbox is stock with K/N filter.The only other engine mod so for are Dynatec 3ohm coils.there is a picture of my bike in the gallery, its a red-silver 84. Nice, very nice. Do you know if Yosh. still makes a header for FJs?  Ive had a few people ask and I havent found a source that sells one. I got a Kawasaki Turbo promo jacket Id trade ya for it lol!!! And while Im here anybody got a gas cap for a 84-85 tank? I broke the latching tabs on mine. I posted in parts wanted and have checked alot of Yamaha OEM dealers with no luck. Im pretty bummed on this one. I have a later tank w cap Id trade thats black and in good shape lots of other 84 parts too. I would buy trade ect. Be carefull with those early two latch caps they are hard to find! No rideing my FJ this weekend.                            Charley
