Hello everyone, i just purchased a 1989 FJ1200 dark blue and gold. Its my second bike so far, first was a 1983 Honda Interceptor. This bike runs great! have been looking alot into the rim swops and possibly get the forks redone..there not too soft but quick stopping and youll feel the forks are kinda soft..Need to get the spin on oil filter adapter...then maybe the upgraded oil cooler.

anyways i live in north California near Sacramento and SF..I saw that a bunch of yall were just out here...

nice to meet you all

Stuart

Welcome ! There are quiet a few FJ members in your area. Great folks to know. There was a rally a few weeks ago in Willits. It was the annual West Coast Rally. Lots of mods to do to the FJ and you will find the FJ a lot easier to work on than the Honda. Well perhaps not a lot, but surly easier.  Randy at RPM racing is down the road in Oakdale and has a good supply of stuff to mod the FJ and a wealth of knowledge.  Hope to see you at a rally sometime or for that matter anywhere down the road.

Hi Stuart,

I'm in San Jose and have tools and space to balance carbs and make sure you're running right.  Let me know if you'd like to get to get together for a ride...

:good2:  Nice bike! Spin on filter is a good idea, and to fix the diving front end under brakes, order some RPM fork valves along with the Racetech springs also from RPM. The front is transformed with these mods,  :good2:
