I was wondering if the noticeable difference between the R1 and R6  calipers would cause a fitment problem to late model FJ  forks. The noticeable difference is, there is steel brake line going from one side of the caliper to the other side on the R6 version about 2 1/2 inches long like a cross over tube.

Nope, both fit just fine.

The calipers with the steel crossover line are from a YZF600R and not an R6. They work and bolt up fine on the FJ fork. The R1 and R6 calipers both have internal transfer lines.
