Hoses on new carbs

So a quick question: I'm installing a new set of carbs on a '92 California model. The airbox is being replaced by pods and the emissions kit is coming out. What should I do with the 3/8" hoses coming out from between #'s 1&2 and 3&4? Let 'em hang or plug them?
Originally they were routed to emissions. :morning2:

Those are vacuum hoses that hook to the charcoal canisters.
The vacuum from the carbs pulls the gas vapors from the tank thru the canisters.
Being that they are vacuum hoses, plug them, or take the hoses off at the carbs and put a plug in the carb bodies. That way you won't ever have to worry about a vacuum leak from a cracked hose.

Cheers Pat

Thanks Pat. Just to be clear, these aren't the two that go up and forward along the frame rails to the charcoal canisters. These come off a T-fitting connection that's between each pair of carbs, then connect to the line that runs into the solenoid valve that laid beneath the carbs. After I disconnected the plug from the wiring harness to the valve, the whole group of hoses and the valve came out with the old carbs.
The new carbs came with these two hoses installed, now there's not going to be anything to connect them to.
Sorry if I confused things.

Let all six hoses hang and not get crimped.

I think you're referring to the float bowl vent hoses.  The solenoid valve used to route them through the cannisters.  As Randy said, carefully route them around the right side of the heat shield and down behind the engine case

Yep, sorry Pete, I misread your post...'new carbs' +' 3/8' hoses between 1&2 and 3&4 = bowl vents!  :dash2:
