Hi, I am pretty new to this site, I'm 64 and been riding postie bikes for a lot of years, and I keep an FJ1200 for weekends but haven't ridden it for a while (I'm in Melb. Australia) I have just retired and am doing a lot of work on the FJ to get out on it again.
Question I have is, I have a set of mid 90's FJR 1300 chromed pipes and I would like to know if they will fit into my '86 FJ1200?

I don't want to pull all mine off and they don't fit.
thanks
Rayza

Hello Rayza and welcome...

The FJR did not come out until 2001 so you don't have a mid 90's edition.

The XJR pipes will fit the FJ engine. The FJR pipes will not fit, due to different cylinder spacing.

Cheers

Lucky I got them cheap then...
They must be FJR, , I have now pulled one of my headers off and tried but they don't fit.I managed to get the mufflers to fit ok tho.
Just had to play with the centre stand to stop it hitting the can.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi Rayza, I am also in Melbourne, Eastern suburbs, if you need any help, let me know.

Welcome Rayza, 86' is great year for the FJ. But I am rather biased having one myself. Wait till you get the need to upgrade, that's when the fun hits the fan...
