The plan was to be on the road by 7:30.  At 10:30, we rolled out of the driveway with a destination of south.  340 to Winchester, down 81 to Harrisonburg then we played on 33 for a while.  Following 2 GSes and an unknown something on the way up.  Patience wore thin and Mr. Unknown something was too busy hanging off to realize he wasn't even going the speed limit.  Grrr.  I eventually convinced him I'd like to get around which I did.  Kim did not.  Cops at the top so I let him by on the way down to go catch his friends.  Yeah, right.  We turned around for a second pass which was painful as all the traffic for the day seemed to be at that very moment.  Had a moment of trying to get around 2 cruiser/choppers taking up BOTH lanes trying to get through the sharp turns.   Bash  Stopped on the other side at a bridge and polished off last night's pizza, waited for a break in traffic and headed back over again unhindered.  Much better though I seemed to be holding Kim up a little.  From Franklin, we took 220 north which is a hoot if you're not too concerned about those pesky black and white numbered signs, then 28 to 50 into Winchester and back home.  Between Romney and Capon Bridge, we encountered a few cruisers that were the "pin it on the straights so they can't get around" types.  That worked once.   Rolleyes  Now I just have to pass you w/ extreme prejudice instead of nicely.  Whade'er.

366 miles for the day.  It was a training ride for this summer's trip around the lakes so the fact that it was any fun at all was a bonus.  Weather was stupid perfect.  Other than actually having to stop and clean my shield for the 2nd pass on 33, there were no other pictures.  It was a training ride after all.
